2022 PAL Officer of the Year!

2022 PAL Officer of the Year!

PAL’s 2022 Officer of the Year is Vancouver Police Department’s Sergeant Holly Musser.

As the year ends, PAL wants to express our incredible respect and gratitude for our law enforcement partners.  Sgt. Musser exemplifies PAL’s mission “to build positive relationships between law enforcement and youth.”

Sgt. Musser was critical to the success of PAL’s CSI Vancouver summer camp for high school students. The week-long camp focused on traffic safety and accident analysis. She and the VPD Traffic  Unit taught students about tools used by the traffic unit to investigate accidents, collision investigation, DUIs, speeding and dangers of distracted driving.  Sgt. Musser also tied investigative practices to academics the students are currently taking such as math and writing.

She supports PAL through literacy events at local schools, mentoring students during Prospere groups, assisting with soccer tournaments, organizing a memorial marathon team at the Apple Tree Run fundraiser, helping kids at Shop with A Cop and assisting the PAL team with interviews for new staff.  Sgt. Musser is a huge advocate for PAL and encourages her unit and peers to engage in PAL programs.

Thank you, Sgt. Musser, for your dedication to PAL and to serving youth in our local community.
