Apple Tree Two Weeks!

In 2 weeks PAL is partnering with Why Racing Events to put on the Peacehealth Appletree Marathon on September 17th and 18th in downtown Vancouver on Officers’ Row.  PAL is the primary beneficiary for this event so we want to encourage you to join in on the fun.  This is an opportunity to support PAL in our mission to promote positive relationships between youth in our community and law enforcement. There are three ways you can participate.

  • Register for a run (or walk) or refer a friend/family member to do so.  There are different distance options for either event to choose from.  On the registration page, there is a link to donate specifically to PAL.
  • Take a Challenge – There are limited free bibs to those who would like to obtain sponsors if you complete a running distance.  This can be great for first timers or for those who wish to increase their distance goals.
  • Volunteer – Serve at a water station, direct athletes, serve at the food line, hand out medals to finishers.  For every hour served, WHY Racing Events will award PAL funds.  Plus you will get to enjoy the food/beverages, grab an athlete bag and a volunteer t-shirt.

This year the PAL Squad (sponsored by Amerigroup) has chosen to run in memory of Officer Donald Sahota of Vancouver Police Department who was killed in the line of duty on January 29th 2022.

We are looking forward to the PeaceHealth Apple Tree and we hope to see you there!
