The PAL Squad

In just a little under one month from today The PAL Squad will be at it again; running the PeaceHealth Apple Tree Marathon in support of PAL! We are so excited to be the beneficiary of this run through history again and we want you to know IT’S NOT TO LATE to get in on the fun!

Like last year we have some officers running the races in FULL UNIFORM! Although, we don’t have one running the full marathon this year, we do have TWO Vancouver Police Department Officers running the half marathon! Sergeant Blaise Geddry will be one of those officers, and Officer Gerardo Gutierrez is the second. Both ran last year in uniform and are excited to do it again!

New this year is that we have a solid group of law enforcement running the 5k on Saturday night in full uniform. In fact we have EIGHT of them! Seven of these officers come from Vancouver Police Department and our 8th brave soul hails from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Finally, we are continuing a tradition from last year where the young ladies who went on the backpacking trip over the summer are coming back together to run the 5k as a group! They will run/walk the 5k as a team with the adults who went on the trip with them.

As we mentioned before we are so honored to be a part of the PeaceHealth Apple Tree Marathon and we would love for you to join us on the 2nd Annual race. It is a beautiful run through history and all you have to do to learn more about joining the PAL Squad is email Jenny at jenny.thompson@cityofvancouver.us. And yes she too is a member running the 5k. So why don’t you join her, our 16 officers, and ten community members and become a part of the PAL Squad:
