Volunteer of the Quarter: Lt. Mike Fort

Volunteer of the Quarter: Lt. Mike Fort

We are excited to announce that our first Officer of the Quarter for 2019 is Lt. Mike Fort!

Mike Fort is a Lieutenant at the Battle Ground Police Department.  He has been working with PAL since January 2018 and has left his mark in so many places since then.  Lt. Fort is involved with PAL’s Badges for Baseball program at Rocksolid Community Teen Center where he is a mentor to youth in the community.  He has also been seen signing books at our literacy events at elementary schools in the county, AND as a volunteer at PAL’s many basketball tournaments.  Whew! What would we do without Lt. Fort!

We here at PAL are so very grateful for the above and beyond behavior that Lt. Fort has always shown.  If he could be everywhere at once, we don’t doubt that he would! One of the things our program staff has noted, is that they most admire Lt. Fort’s willingness to simply listen to the youth he works with and build long lasting relationships with each of them.  This is no small commitment to make to these kids and he knows this well and is still willing to be a constant and positive present in their lives. Whenever our staff go to Rocksolid for our meetings, they are always over hearing, “Is ‘Officer Mike’ here yet?”

Thank you Lt. Mike Fort for being there for our youth, for supporting PAL, and for being an absolute Rockstar!
